Installation Instructions
When replacing a power steering pump, the steering system fluid MUST be flushed & replaced with O.E. recommended fluid to ensure proper steering performance.|An in-line filter on the return side of the system is recommended for additional product life.|Power steering hoses can deteriorate overtime. For this reason, hoses should be replaced on vehicles over 5 years old or with high mileage to prevent external leaks and internal debris from being circulated throughout the system.Technical Tips
Make sure the banjo-style pressure fitting or union seal between the hose and fitting is free from dirt. Replace seal if so equipped.|Debris in the fluid indicates that hoses could be deteriorating internally.|Inspect hoses for cuts, restrictions, collapsing, swelling, chaffing or kinks.|Flush the entire system using approved fluid and install an in-line filter on the return side of the system.|Some applications require the power steering system to be vacuum bled. Please refer to your O.E. bleeding procedure.|Trapped air or a restriction in the system can cause fluid to overflow out from the reservoir.|Foaming or bubbles in the fluid indicates that air is still trapped in the system.|Torque the mounting bolts and hoses to proper specifications. Use a belt tension gauge when installing the belt.|Proper pulley alignment is critical for allapplications. Always replace bent or damaged
pulleys using a pulley installation kit.
